Wang Pays Nguyen at Buzzer to Cause Seismic Chip Shift

Level 9 : 400/800, 800 ante
Zach Nguyen
Zach Nguyen

Action was captured on the river as Michael Wang was in the middle of a huge river decision. The board read {3-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and it appeared as though Wang had beat about 27,000 into the pot and was raised all in by Zach Nguyen for his remaining 68,500.

Wang was already deep in the tank as a few of the players at the table were standing up to stay loose during the long decision. After a fe moments the clock was called. The floor came over and administered the countdown. As the countdown reached 1, Wang put in a stac of chips for the call.

Nguyen turned over the nuts the {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, while Wang was forced to show his {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and cut out the large portion of his stack to be sent across the table to the now large stacked Nguyen

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On a flop of {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, Kelly Minkin bet 7,500 into two opponents. Spencer Champlin raised all in for his remaining amount. The third player in the hand folded and Minkin called.

Champlin was ahead with the {q-Spades}{10-Spades} against the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} of Minkin. The turn was the {8-Spades} and the river came the {a-Diamonds} and Champlin gained a needed double up.

Queen's Hold for Carroll

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Casey Carroll
Casey Carroll

Casey Carroll raised under-the-gun to 2,200 and the action folded around to the button who called, the small blind folded and the big blind came along.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts} and the big blind checked, Carroll fired out a continuation bet of 4,200 and after the button folded the big blind raised to 9,200 and Carroll made the call.

The {2-Clubs} landed on the turn and the big blind led out for 8,000 which Carroll quickly raised to 30,000. The big blind thought about it for only a brief moment and called off their remaining 22,000.

Big blind: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Casey Carroll: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Both players had two pairs but it was Carroll who was in the lead with queens and twos, and the {4-Clubs} on the river changed nothing, sending Carroll the pot and eliminating his opponent.

Lay's Queens Commit Double Regicide

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Nicholas Lay found himself in a situation. He was all in preflop with {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} against two opponents who each held pocket kings, one with the {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and the other with the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

The flop launched Lay's ladies into the lead as it came {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}. The turn was the {a-Clubs} to provide a club sweat but the {3-Hearts} on the river sealed the regicide of both pairs of kings, eliminating one of players holding them and giving Lay the large haul.

Yaremych Flops a Set; Eliminates Pupillo

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a flop of {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} with about 27,000 already brewed in the pot Nick Pupillo led out for 14,000, the big blind took about two minutes before deciding to call and Brian Yaremych moved all-in for 38,100. Wasting no time Pupillo announced he was all-in as well for 60,600 and the big blind called who had them both covered.

Nick Pupillo: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Big blind: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Brian Yaremych: {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

Yaremych was in the lead with a flopped set of deuces and the turn {3-Hearts} gave him a sweat, now dodging a heart as well but the {6-Clubs} on the river was a brick tripling Yaremych up and eliminating Pupillo.
