Burns Smashes Queen to Eliminate Opponent

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

James Burns raised to 4,000 in the cutoff and the small blind moved all-in for 37,500. The big blind folded and Burns thought it over and eventually made the call.

Small Blind: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}
James Burns: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Burns was dominated but the flop came {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} giving him two pairs, queens and nines. The {3-Spades} landed on the turn changing nothing and the {9-Spades} on the river filled in Burns' full house to eliminate his opponent.

McManus Triples

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

A player in middle position raised to 3,300 and the Hijack moved all-in for 21,900 before Jim McManus called off his remaining 17,300. The button and blinds folded and the original raiser made the call.

Middle Position: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Hijack: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Jim McManus: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

McManus was ahead and was looking to dodge overcards as well as a ten but the flop gave him little to worry about when it came {q-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} making top set and the board completed with the {k-Clubs} on the turn and the {2-Hearts} on the river, giving McManus a full house and the Hijack winning the small side pot with kings and twos.

Kampen Eliminates McDermott with a Full House

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

On a flop of {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{j-Spades} Elliot Kampen checked to Antoine McNeal who led out for 4,000 and David McDermott instantly moved all-in for 7,900 which Kampen attempted to call but put 10,000 in chips in. The floor was eventually called and it was ruled a raise to 10,000 which McNeal called.

The turn got checked through when the {a-Clubs} came and on the river {2-Spades} Kampen fired out a bet of 15,000 and McNeal let his hand go. Kampen tabled {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for jacks full of aces and McDermott tabled {q-Clubs}{j-Spades} for trip jacks and was eliminated from the tournament.
