Teran and Webb Hit the Rail

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

In the first hand back from the break, Robert Webb was eliminated in 20th place and just shortly after, Tomas Teran found himself at risk as well. Rick Troendly shoved all in from the cutoff and Teran called off his stack of just over 60,000 in the big blind.

Rick Troendly: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Tomas Teran: {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

The flop of {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} provided Teran with some chop outs in order to stay alive. However, the {j-Diamonds} on the turn and the {4-Clubs} on the river were of no help and Teran was eliminated.

Hanson Scores a Double KO to Climb Over One Million

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Todd Boghosian was battling on the short stack for much of the day and just recently found a stack he could be comfortable on. The action was folded to Boghosian in the cutoff who ripped all in for 190,000. Debbie Hinton also pushed all in from the small blind for not much more and Michael Hanson wasted little time before calling in the big blind.

Michael Hanson: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Debbie Hinton: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}
Todd Boghosian: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Hanson was ahead of both of his opponents and was looking to score the double knockout. The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Hanson held on to do just that as he climbed over one million chips.

Alcorn Gets Coolered

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Heather Alcorn
Heather Alcorn

The action folded around to Alon Eldar on the button who just shoved all in. He had two smaller stacks behind him in the blinds and Heather Alcorn called off her stack of around 140,000 in the small blind.

Alon Eldar: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Heather Alcorn: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Not only did Eldar have the larger of the two pocket pairs, but he also had both of the suits covered. The board ran out {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Alcorn was ousted just prior to the first break of the day.

Hinton Approaching Seven Figures

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Derrick Contreras shoved all in for just over 100,000 from under the gun and the action folded around to Clyde Hinton in the big blind. Hinton looked down at his cards and made a quick call.

Clyde Hinton: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Derrick Contreras: {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

Hinton held the superior pocket pair and the flop of {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{3-Spades} provided no help to Contreras. The {7-Hearts} on the turn and the {9-Spades} on the river were also bricks and Contreras was eliminated. The final 27 players will now redraw for seats with three tables remaining.
