Topol Ousted by "iownumind"

Level 16 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Stanley "Donkey_Fish" Topol raised to 832,000 with 169,980 behind and was called by "iownumind" in the cutoff. On the {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop the last few chips went in and "iownumind" called.

Stanley "Donkey_Fish" Topol: {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}
"iownumind": {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The {7-Spades} turn provided a gutshot but it was the {9-Diamonds} that struck on the river to eliminate Topol.

Showdown Pot for Smyth

Level 16 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Daniel "Ronalauc" Smyth defended his big blind against a button min-raise by Lachezar "Psychedelica" Petkov and both headed to the {q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop. Smyth check-called for 201,600 and the {4-Hearts} turn went check, check. The {6-Clubs} river brought no betting action either and Smyth's {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} won the pot versus {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}.

Papazian Doubles Through Jouhkimainen

Level 16 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Alexandru Papazian raised to 720,000 with fewer than that behind and was called by Joni Jouhkimainen as the far biggest stack on the table.

On a {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop, Papazian check-called all-in to create the following showdown.

Alexandru Papazian: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Joni Jouhkmainen: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}

No ace appeared on the {4-Hearts} turn and {3-Hearts} river to keep Papazian in contention.

Another Two Down

Level 16 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Douglas "Doncic77" Souza and Francois Billard have become the last two casualties and the latter fell victim to Qiao "chiqiao" Chi in the following preflop contest.

Francois Billard: {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Qiao "chiqiao" Chi: {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Chi took the lead on the {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds} turn and the {8-Diamonds} river bricked off.

Lee Loses a Flip to East

Level 15 : 70,000/140,000, 17,500 ante
Lee vs East
Lee vs East

Hun Wei Lee raised to 280,000 with a stack of around 2.5 million and then called the shove by Jareth "UraizeIfold" East in the big blind.

Hun Wei Lee: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Jareth "UraizeIfold" East: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

East immediately hit trips on the {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop, the {j-Clubs} turn and the {j-Diamonds} river then brought no help to Lee.

Fhima Felted by Mattsson

Level 15 : 70,000/140,000, 17,500 ante
Fhima vs Mattsson
Fhima vs Mattsson

David "Davidas75" Fhima had just half a million in chips behind and was in the big blind. Simon "FiestaPagana" Mattsson jammed out of the small blind with the superior stack and Fhima called it off.

David "Davidas75" Fhima: {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Simon "FiestaPagana" Mattsson: {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{k-Spades} board propelled Fhima into the lead on the turn but the superior hand preflop got there.

Recent Eliminations Part VI

Level 15 : 70,000/140,000, 17,500 ante

Fewer than 80 players remain and they have all locked up at least $15,128 for their efforts.

Chen is the King of Kings

Level 15 : 70,000/140,000, 17,500 ante
Chen vs Savenkov
Chen vs Savenkov

Jung Chou "DragonChou" Chen doubled through fellow Taiwanese player "fatsheep" when his {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} held versus {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}, the board came {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}.

Chen soon after got into a big clash with Aleksey "ImLuckPads" Savenkov for a pot of nearly 7 million.

Jung Chou "DragonChou" Chen: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Aleksey "ImLuckPads" Savenkov: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop was no threat but Savenkov turned the {a-Hearts}. Only the case king could help Chen and it did on the {k-Diamonds} river.
