"TheFirestarter" Busts Two

Level 14 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante
Double Knockout for TheFirestarter
Double Knockout for TheFirestarter

Austrian player "TheFireStarter" had the best of it heading into the showdown against Victor "Dsmoke" Bonifacio and "030786" from Canada.

"030786": {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Victor "Dsmoke" Bonifacio: {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
"TheFireStarter": {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The board came {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and that sent two opponents to the rail.

Abarzuza Eliminated

Level 14 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Hun Wei Lee raised to 240,000 in the cutoff and Jareth "UraizeIfold" East defended the big blind. On a {8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop both checked and East bet the {6-Diamonds} turn for 382,500, which Lee called. On the {2-Spades} river, East checked and lost his entire time bank before folding to the jam by Lee.

Junichi "Jun@N" Nakanowatari then jammed into Lee on the {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Spades} turn and forced a fold.

Nakanowatari also knocked out Oihan "VIVAGGPOKER" Abarzuza a couple hands later as he held with {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} versus {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} thanks to a board of {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{k-Spades}.

Fewer Than 100 Remain

Level 14 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

The field has already been whittled down to fewer than 100 hopefuls as some of the recent casualties can be found below.

Scholtis and Kaiser Lose Heaps

Level 14 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante
Ambraisse vs Scholtis
Ambraisse vs Scholtis

Idris Ambraisse three-bet jammed out of the small blind and was isolated by Tobias "t0602" Scholtis in the big blind, button min-raiser Daniel "Ronalauc" Smyth folded.

Idris Ambraisse: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Tobias "t0602" Scholtis: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Ambraisse improved on each street of the {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{j-Spades} board to score a big double.

Ronny Kaiser then took a flip two hands later against "Minguella".

Ronny Kaiser: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
"Minguella": {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Near even in chips, Kaiser remained ahead on the {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop and {5-Spades} turn. But the {j-Clubs} fell on the river to provide the superior pair.

Schemion Among Recent Casualties

Level 13 : 50,000/100,000, 12,500 ante

Ole Schemion was left short after losing a flip to Jung Chou "DragonChou" Chen, then chopped once before taking on "fatsheep" for his last few chips.

Ole Schemion: {k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
"fatsheep": {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and that spelled the end for Schemion.

For "fatsheep", another fat pot awaited after when they doubled through "YaNovixon" with {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} versus {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} in a preflop all-in contest. The {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts} board locked up the double on the turn already.

Recent Eliminations Part V

Level 13 : 50,000/100,000, 12,500 ante

Flush for Bonifacio

Level 13 : 50,000/100,000, 12,500 ante

Victor "Dsmoke" Bonifacio shipped it in for just 569,996 from under the gun and was isolated by Artem "Amsterq" Prostak.

Victor "Dsmoke" Bonifacio: {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Artem "Amsterq" Prostak: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Two diamonds appeared on the {q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop and the third on the {j-Diamonds} turn. The {7-Spades} river failed to pair the board as Bonifacio escaped with his king-high flush.

Scholtis Busts "Benjicarlos"

Level 13 : 50,000/100,000, 12,500 ante

Former big stack "Benjicarlos" was all-in for the last eight and a half blinds, which Tobias "t0602" Scholtis called after he had opened to 220,000.

"Benjicarlos: {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Tobias "t0602" Scholtis: {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

On a board of {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, "Benjicarlos" paired his kicker on the river and that gave Scholtis a straight.
