Day 2 of the Choctaw Casino Resorts $1,700 Main Event saw 168 players come into the day with their hopes of making it to the final table of and after nearly 12 hours of play, 18 players remain. Leading the way is Brant Jolly who bagged 4,325,000 at the end of the night.
Jolly had one of the top ten stacks to begin the day and never lost focus as he continued to build his stack while eliminating multiple players throughout the day.
Montana Bills was another player who entered Day 2 having a top ten stack and never lost momentum as he bagged (3,540,000) which was good enough to take second in chips heading into Day 3.
Bagging third-place chips was Dustin Schoonover who got off to a slow start but then gained traction nearing the end of the night (3,020,000).
Many other well-known players found a bag at the end of Day 2 including three-time ring winners Melisa Singh (1,510,000) and Christopher Staats (1,305,000), all-time ring leader Maurice Hawkins (1,275,000) and WSOP bracelet winner Jared Jaffee (600,000).

The action was loaded across the two Day 1 flights and was kicked up a notch today as the money bubble burst shortly before the first break of the day. Jack Peterson opened for 100,000 from middle position and Montana Bills called from late position. Action was on Melisa Singh who three-bet jammed for 655,000 from the hijack and Peterson came over the top getting isolation.

Brant Jolly opened from early position and Christopher Staats three-bet to 350,000 from middle position. Action on the table folded back around to Jolly who called.
The flop fell and Jolly check-called Staats 225,000 continuation bet to see the come on the turn.
Both players checked to the river where Jolly lead out for 775,000 sending Staats into the tank.
After a few minutes of careful thought, Staats let his hand go into the muck and Jolly scooped the pot.
