The second and final starting flight of the WSOP Circuit Horseshoe Hammond $1,700 Main Event kicks off at Noon local time, and a slew of new and familiar faces are expected to hit the felt today, all vying to earn a bag to Day 2 and contend for a piece of the $1 million guaranteed prize pool.

In yesterday's Day 1a flight, 372 entrants descended on the Horseshoe Hammond Convention Center, and 67 of them ended up putting chips in a bag. David Jackson, fresh off a runner-up performance at the WSOP Circuit Seminole Hard Rock Tampa $1,700 Main Event, continued his Circuit dominance by bagging 511,000 chips and the chip lead. Chris Karabinis (373,000) and Nicola Ditrapani (363,500) round out the top 3, while John Sun (351,500), Chad Holloway (305,500), Alex Ziskin (188,500), Brad Sailor (96,000), and Scott Bohlman (59,000) were some of the notables that advanced as well.

Today's Day 1b flight starts players with 30,000 in chips, and the blinds will start off at 100/100. Levels will be 40-minutes in length throughout the day, and the field will play 15 levels, or until 13% of the field remains, whichever comes first. Registration and a single re-entry option will be available until Level 13 (approximately 9:45 p.m.). All players that manage to find a bag will return tomorrow, March 1st at 11 a.m. to play ten one-hour levels, and the final day kicks off on Monday, March 2nd at Noon.

With the $1 million guarantee well on the way to being surpassed, how many players will join the 67 survivors from Day 1a? Stay tuned to PokerNews throughout the day as we come one step closer to crowning our newest WSOP Circuit champion.
