Bryan Salerno Finds Redemption in Event #5: $400 NLH 6-Handed

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

PokerNews is in town to live report the $1,700 Main Event here at the World Series of Poker Circuit at Horseshoe Tunica, but that is just one of the gold ring events that will have played out by the end of the series.

Event #5: $400 NLH 6-Handed attracted 238 entries and offered up a $78,540 prize pool that was reserved for the top 36 players. Among those to cash were Brett Apter (6th - $2,868), Gary Lambert (10th - $1,659), Michael Sanders (15th - $1,062), Kip Jones (25th - $665), and Heather Alcorn (36th - $603).

Coming out on top was Bryan Salerno, who claimed the title for $18,438 and his first gold ring. It was redemption as he had finished in second place in the same tournament the year before.

“I feel great. Last year I came second in this event, it was a brutal beat, and I haven’t gotten to play very much, so coming back this year and winning it feels pretty good,” Salerno said after his victory.
