Perrone Dodges a Wazwaz Trap

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Rob Wazwaz checked a {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} board from under the gun, and Michael Perrone bet 11,000 into a pot of 15,000 from the button. Wazwaz called.

Wazwaz quickly checked the {6-Clubs} river, and Perrone checked behind.

"Great check," Wazwaz said, tabling {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the nuts. Perrone mucked.

The {9-Hearts} fell on the turn, and Lauson checked. Jansen double-checked his cards, then bet 9,000. Lauson tanked for a minute, then folded.

Fielder Busts Helstern

Level 9 : 400/800, 800 ante

Jorden Helstern bet 5,500 on a {q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} flop from middle position, and Jeff Fielder called in the cutoff, while the button folded.

Helstern fired 10,500 on the {k-Spades} turn, and Fielder called again.

The {4-Spades} river saw Helstern empty the clip with a shove for 21,200, and Fielder quickly called.

"Nice hand," Helstern said, flipping his {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} up. Helstern's pair of kings were crushed by the {2-Clubs}{2-Spades} of Fielder, and Fielder's set sent Helstern to the rail.

Brian Altman

Deana McCarthy raised to 2,000 from the cutoff, and Brian Altman three-bet to 8,000 in the small blind. The big blind quickly called, and McCarthy tagged along as well.

Altman led out for 10,000 on the {2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} flop, and the big blind snap-shoved for 27,600. McCarthy folded, and Altman called.

Opponent: {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Brian Altman: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Altman had two overs and an open-ended straight draw against the middle pair of his opponent. The {k-Clubs} turn sealed the elimination for Altman before the {10-Spades} could fall on the river.

Level 9 : 400/800, 800 ante

Ian Matakis checked a {3-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop from middle position, and Andy Rogowski bet 2,300 from the cutoff. Jorden Helstern called on the button, and Matakis check-raised to 9,500. Rogowski and Helstern both folded, and Rogowski said, "C'mon, show it!" to Matakis.

Matakais said, "Thank you," while stacking his chips up.
