Sitton Doubles Through Gallaher

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

John Gallaher opened for 60,000 from middle position and action folded to Hank Sitton who moved all in for 260,000 from the big blind, Gallaher called.

Hank Sitton: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
John Gallaher: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Sitton was racing for his tournament life and didn't mind the {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{j-Hearts} flop.

The {9-Hearts} on the turn gave Sitton the nut-flush but he still needed to fade any jack or eight to win the pot. Sitton did just that as the river fell the {k-Clubs}, securing his double-up.

Alexander Hits the Tank

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Mike Hartzheim raised to 50,000 from the hijack, and was called by Ken Donarski on the button and Spencer Alexander in the big blind.

All three players checked the {j-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop, and Alexander led out for 65,000 on the {3-Spades} turn. Only Hartzheim called.

Alexander bet 115,000 on the {6-Clubs} river, and Hartzheim raised to 500,000. Alexander tanked for three minutes, and a clock was called.

"Looks like the nuts," Alexander said a few seconds into the clock. He folded a short time later.

Zuccarello Slicks Shing

Level 24 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Tsz Shing opened for 45,000 on the button and Cero Zuccarello three-bet to 150,000 from the big blind, Shing called.

The {2-Spades}{j-Spades}{2-Diamonds} was checked to the {a-Clubs} turn where Zuccarello lead out for 100,000 and was called by Shing.

The {5-Diamonds} completed the board on the river and Zuccarello fired out 300,000 sending Shing into the tank.

After careful consideration, Shing called only to muck his hand after Zuccarello rolled over {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

Sitton Doubles Through Golla

Level 24 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Hank Sitton
Hank Sitton

Pratap Golla raised to 60,000 from under the gun, and Tsz Shing called on the button. Hank Sitton three-bet shoved for 510,000 in the big blind, and Golla four-bet shoved, chasing out Shing.

Hank Sitton: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Pratap Golla: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

"I can't beat ace-king," Sitton told Golla.

The {j-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop prompted a "Fun!" from Chris Roth, as Golla picked up more outs with a gutshot.

"More fun!" Roth said when the {j-Clubs} turn added a host of counterfeit outs for Golla. Sitton's premonition wouldn't come to pass, however, as the {5-Clubs} river bricked off, securing Sitton the double.

"That's the Cherokee nuts!" John Gallaher noted about Sitton's pocket sevens after the hand.
