Servais Ousts Dragomir

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Ionut Dragomir opened from the cutoff for 3,400. Martin Servais three-bet from the button to 10,000.

Dragomir tanked for a couple of minutes before he jammed for around 35,000 and Servais made the snap-call.

Ionut Dragomir: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Martin Servais: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

It was a classic flip situation. Servais came out on top after the {4-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades} ran out on the board and Dragomir was eliminated from the Main Event.

Set of Treys for Sacrispeyre

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Patrick Sacrispeyre bet 3,500 into a pot of around 7,000 after the {10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} came on the flop. Antoine Goutard raised to 12,000 and Sacrispeyre called.

Sacrispeyre check-called a bet of 9,000 after the {j-Clubs} came on the turn.

The {2-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. Sacrispeyre led out for 10,000. The action paused on Goutard for a minute before he jammed for 35,000.

Sacrispeyre asked for a count and tanked for a couple of minutes. He would have had 10,000 behind if he called and was wrong. He eventually made the call and immediately turned over {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} for a set of treys. Goutard turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and immediately got out of his chair and left the room.

Short Stacks Collide

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Not everyone left for dinner break with a big stack. Two of the shorter stacks got involved on Table 15 the second hand off the break.

The hand began with Francisco Lafayette Pinto jamming for 11,200 from under the gun. It folded around to Adrien Pierre in the small blind who thought for a minute before tossing in his last 5,100.

Francisco Lafayette Pinto: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Adrien Pierre: {5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

Pierre may not have had a strong preflop hand but his cards were live. They were unable to connect and Pinto improved to a straight as the {10-Clubs}{j-Spades}{7-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} ran out on the board.
