Fishhooks Good for Goschel

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

Mohamed Khellaf announced he was all in for about 21,000 with about 18,000 in the pot and the {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} on the board. Marc Goschel had 11,400 behind and made the call.

Mohamed Khellaf: {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Marc Goschel: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Khellaf was behind but had some outs for a straight or for a full house. However, the {3-Clubs} double-paired the board and Goschel's jacks held for a double-up.

'I Wasn't Scared of the River'

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

Shlomo Tal bet 4,000 into a pot of around 10,000 with the {2-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs} on the board. A player with the nickname of Mike Spoiler asked how much Tal had behind. Tal pushed his chips ahead and Mike Spoiler made the call.

Tal turned over {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a flush.

"Nice hand," Mike Spoiler said as he tapped his hand on the table and through his hand into the muck face down.

"You must have not liked that river card but bet anyway," said a player at the table.

"No, I wasn't scared of the river," responded Tal.

Big Blind Ante Begins

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

Level 2 has just begun. The small blind and big blind remain the same as the last level at 100 each. The only change is that there is now a big blind ante of 100 as well.

Tal First Player Eliminated on Day 1b

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Lior Tal bet 1,200 into a pot of around 1,600 with the {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} on the board. A player with the nickname Soliman raised to 7,000 before Tal three-bet to 16,000. Soliman four-bet jammed for 29,500 and Tal called with just 500 left behind.

Soliman turned over {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for the nut flush and Tal was left with crumbs after his second nut flush with {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} proved to be no good.

A couple of hands later, Tal lost the rest of his short stack. The Israeli will have plenty of time to re-enter if he so chooses with nine levels of late registration.
