Chip Count Update

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Huxley Doubles Daouhadji

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Phillip Huxley
Phillip Huxley

Defending Champ Phillip Huxley chipped up a little to start the day but he just lost half his stack.

A player opened from middle position to 9,000 before Belmehel Dja Daouhadji three-bet to 25,000 from the button. Huxley four-bet to 68,000 from the small blind. The original raiser folded before Daouhadji five-bet jammed to 144,000. Huxley snap-called and players turned over their cards.

Belmehel Dja Daouhadji: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Phillip Huxley: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Huxley was marginally ahead when the chips went into the middle but his opponent took a big advantage in the hand after pairing the {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop. Neither the {5-Hearts} on the turn nor the {5-Spades} on the river was of any help to Huxley and Daouhadji won a big pot off the defending champion.

Ten-Four Good Buddy

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Johan Guilbert jammed from the small blind for about nine big blinds with {10-Clubs}{4-Spades} and was called by Michel Leibgorin in the big blind with {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

Guilbert had live cards but was unable to connect to the {5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{q-Spades} board and was eliminated.

He wished the entire table "good luck" before he left the tournament area.

Willy Wonka Eliminates Kool Shen

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Bruno Lopes
Bruno Lopes

Bruno "Kool Shen" Lopes began the day with a very healthy stack of 186,000. Unfortunately for him, he was unable to make it to the first break.

Lopes opened up from early position to 6,500 before a player with the nickname Willy Wonka three-bet to 17,000 from late position.

Lopes four-bet jammed for about 50,000 and Willy Wonka snap-called.

Bruno Lopes: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Willy Wonka: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Lopes was behind and was unable to get any help from the {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} board and got out of his seat after the hand.

Good Hero Call by Jose

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Boubekeur Benhalima started today with a healthy stack of 153,000 but didn't make it to the first break.

A player with the nickname Jose checked with the {k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts} on the board and about 70,000 in the pot. Benhalima jammed for his remaining stack of 60,000 and the action paused on Jose for a couple of minutes before he called.

Benhalima turned over {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and was felted by Jose who turned over {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} to win the hand.

Recent Eliminations

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Cohen Doubles

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ouri Aron Cohen jammed for 32,500 from early position with {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} and got a call from Michel Leibgorin from the button with {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

Both players paired the {k-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{q-Spades} flop but Cohen's pair was better. The {10-Hearts} came on the turn to open up a gut-shot straight draw for both players for a potential chop.

Leibgorin was neither able to get a queen for the win or a jack for the chop as the {8-Clubs} completed the board on the river and he doubled up Cohen.
