Tantillo Loses a Bunch to Steinberg

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

On a completed board of {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts}, Fausto Tantillo checked his option from under the gun. He then faced a bet worth 10,000 by Matthias Steinberg from one seat over and tossed in a single chip for the call. Steinberg rolled over the {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} for aces and sevens, which ended up as the winning hand.

Altinok Doubles Through Bystrovzorov

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

The cards of Dmytro Bystrovzorov were already in the muck and he had to fork over a decent portion of his stack. Mark Ruvinov said in table chat "even pocket deuces is better than ace king" which may be an indication what Bystrovzorov held in the previous showdown that had just unfolded.

Regardless of that, Mehmet Altinok was awarded a full double for more than 47,000 when his {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} were the best hand on the {q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} board as Bystrovzorov was sent back to just above the starting stack.

Vlaic Doubles Through D'Angelo

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Daniele D'Angelo was in the tank on the {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} turn with a pot of around 16,000 by then. Iuliu Vlaic had moved all-in from two seats over in the hijack and D'Angelo gave it some thought before he called with the slightly superior stack.

Iuliu Vlaic: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Daniele D'Angelo: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}

The {6-Diamonds} river completed the board and Vlaic doubled for 26,600 to leave his opponent short.

Saleh Knocks Out Cama

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

The pot until then was rather small as Salvatore Cama had limp-called a raise by Elias Abou Saleh and then proceeded to check-call two streets on the {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs} board. Ultimately, Cama around 20,000 behind and check-called all-in to get shown the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} by Saleh.

That proved to be the winning hand as Cama's {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs} were tabled for a mere second before they hit the muck.

Tabacaru Frustrated By Verenko's Bluff

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Ion Tabacaru was deep into the tank after Roman Verenko made a pot-size bet of 50,000 on the turn. With a board showing {5-Spades}{k-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs} Tabacaru eventually relinquished his hand {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} face-up. Verenko rolled over {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the semi-bluff causing Tabacaru clapping his hands in frustration.
