Pierre Neuville
Pierre Neuville

Heads-up to the {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop, David Taborsky checked from the hijack and then called a bet worth 3,500 by Pierre Neuville on the button. The same action repeated on the {2-Spades} turn for 7,000 and Taborsky then led the {2-Hearts} river for 12,000.

Neuville just called to get shown the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} by Taborsky, which he had beat with {k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for a full house. The flat call on the river brought some raised eyebrows by other players at the table.

Roe Doubles Through Naegelen

Level 2 : 100/300, 300 ante

With 30,000 already in the middle to the {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} turn, Kevin Naegelen checked in the hijack and Michael Roe moved all-in for 23,000 in the cutoff. Naegelen tank-called with the slightly superior stack and tabled the {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for the top pair. Roe was trailing with {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} but spiked the {a-Diamonds} on the river to survive and leave Naegelen very short.

Level 2 : 100/300, 300 ante

Aleksandar Tomovic checked the {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} river and then paid off a bet worth 5,600 by Marian Beldie in the cutoff. His opponent tabled the {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for two pair and that was good enough to win the pot for Beldie, who consolidated his good start into Day 1b.
