Cohen Doubles Through Volkov

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Yehuda Cohen loudly celebrated his double-up with the cards of Ruslan Volkov already in the muck, as the latter paid off 61,500 to Cohen. In a battle button versus big blind, Cohen had jammed the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and that ended up as the best hand on the {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{5-Hearts} board.

"Snap call ace five Ruslan?" Cohen asked in table chat and Volkov nodded.

Floor ten Zijthof
Floor ten Zijthof

Floor ten Zijthof pushed all in for 67,500 and was called by the two biggest stacks on the table in Martin Kabrhel and Anil Ataoglu.

There was no further action until the river, with the board reading {3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{j-Spades}{q-Clubs} Kabrhel made a bet of 60,000. Ataoglu quickly folded and Zijthof stood up and asked Kabrhel if he had a straight. Kabrhel turned over his hand to show {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. Zijthof tried to muck her cards but the dealer turned them over to reveal she had {10-}{10-} for a set. Kabrhel is jocking for position to claim a second WSOP International Circuit Ring.
