Albert Hoekendijk Eliminated in 12th Place (€11,934)

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Albert Hoekendijk
Albert Hoekendijk

Over on the feature table, Roman Chochola raised enough to put Albert Hoekendijk all-in via battle of the blinds. The Dutchman was at risk for 1.2 million and ahead.

Roman Chochola: {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Albert Hoekendijk: {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

Chochola improved on the {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop and the {8-Clubs} turn gave Hoekendijk an open-ender. However, the {3-Diamonds} river was a brick and the Dutchman left with the words "good luck".

Di Giacomo Gets Some Value

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Feyzullah Karaarslan raised to 180,000 from under the gun and was called only by Claudio Di Giacomo. Until the {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades} river, both only invested 175,000 each and it was then Di Giacomo who bet 360,000.

Karaarslan reluctantly called and mucked when Di Giacomo tabled the {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the top pair.

Thomas Vass Eliminated in 13th Place (€11,934)

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Thomas Vass
Thomas Vass

Aleksandar Tomovic raised for the second hand in a row, making it 180,000 to go with the {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} from the cutoff. Thomas Vass jammed for 795,000 in the big blind with the {4-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Tomovic snap-called.

The bubble for the €10,300 WSOP Europe Main Event ticket saw Vass in dire shape, as both suits were also covered.

There was no help for the Dane on the {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} board and Vass had to settle for €11,934.

Down to the last 285,000, Braz Borges Fagundes Junior shipped it in from an early position and was called by Do Tran from one seat over.

Braz Borges Fagundes Junior: {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{q-Spades} board gave Tran a full house and Borges was ousted in 14th place for €10,443.

Gheorghe Butuc Eliminated in 15th Place (€10,443)

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Gheorghe Butuc
Gheorghe Butuc

The final hand of the outer table turned out to provide action. In a limped pot to the {k-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} flop, Gheorghe Butuc check-raised to 300,000 out of the small blind with 630,000 behind.

Sharon Sade then moved all-in with the covering stack and Butuc went deep into the tank. More than five minutes into the break, the clock was called on him and Butuc obliged within the allocated 30 seconds.

Gheorghe Butuc: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Sharon Sade: {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

The {a-Diamonds} turn changed nothing yet but the {7-Spades} river gave Sade the superior flush, as he loudly exclaimed a "yessss". Butuc was eliminated in 15th place for a payday of €10,443.

Chochola Jams Into Hoekendijk

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Roman Chochola raised to 130,000 with the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and Albert Hoekendijk three-bet to 380,000 in the hijack with the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. Chochola called and check-raised the {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{6-Spades} flop from 175,000 to 400,000, earning a call by Hoekendijk.

The {4-Spades} followed on the turn and Hoekendijk checked, prompting the shove by Chochola. After a long tank, Hoekendijk elected to fold eventually.

Di Giacomo Raises the River

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Michael Ugucctoni raised to 125,000 from the cutoff and Claudio Di Giacomo came along from the button, as did Feyzullah Karaarslan in the big blind. The {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop was checked and Karaarslan also checked the {7-Clubs} turn. Ugucctoni bet 310,000 for Di Giacomo to call and Karaarslan opting to get out of the way.

Ugucctoni then sized down on the {3-Clubs} river and bet just 150,000. Di Giacomo raised to 950,000 and that resulted in a tank-fold by Ugucctoni.
