Double Knockout for Tomecki

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Lukasz Tomecki
Lukasz Tomecki

Alkividais Stamatis limped the button and Lukasz Tomecki then raised to 10,500 in the small blind. Orhan Sen moved all-in with a shorter stack in the big blind and Stamatis jammed for 58,900. Tomecki asked for a count and then called a few seconds later.

Orhan Sen: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Alkividais Stamatis: {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Lukasz Tomecki: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The {9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop missed all three players but Stamatis took the lead on the {j-Hearts} turn. However, the {a-Diamonds} river restored the preflop order and Tomecki busted two opponents.

Calabro Rises Further on the Leaderboard

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Somehow the last chips of Nikola Kovacevic were in the middle with the turn showing {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and he was called by the table big stack Antonino Calabro. A depleted Kovacevic rolled over the {4-Spades}{2-Hearts} for just the bottom pair, which was on very thin ice.

Calabro had the {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for the top pair and the {10-Hearts} river brought no miracle.

Heder Eliminated by Van De Ree

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Linda van de Ree
Linda van de Ree

The action folded to Linda van de Ree and she raised to 5,000 out of the small blind. Mick Heder jammed for 55,000 and Van De Ree mulled it over for a few seconds before she made the call with the far superior stack.

Mick Heder: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Linda van de Ree: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}

The {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop and {k-Clubs} turn improved van de Ree. "Wait, you gotta stand up," Heder joked as he vaulted out of his seat and pointed closely to the spot for the river card. The {3-Diamonds} river brought no joy and the Dane headed out of the tournament area.

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Mohammad Qasim
Mohammad Qasim

Do Tran had lost a big pot early on to drop below the starting stack while Mohammad Qasim spiked a double just now next to him. In a preflop contest, Qasim got it in for 54,800 with the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Marek Blasko snap-called with the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

The {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} runout provided the ace for Qasim and the table then lost Tran shortly after.

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Jaromir Hanel raised to 5,000 and then got out of the way when Marek Tatar jammed for 30,600 as Alain Bauer went over the top from the very next seat.

Marek Tatar: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Alain Bauer: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{j-Spades} and Tatar rivered broadway.

"What is this?" Bauer asked the dealer with a big smile on the face. "That's poker," the dealer replied.

Cigliano Doubles Through Kassouf

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Heads-up to the {j-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{5-Clubs} river, William Kassouf bet more than 60,000 out of the small blind. Davide Cigliano snap-called for his tournament life and flashed the {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for trips jacks and a king kicker.

"Yeah, that was the only hand I was afraid of ... queen jack or king jack," Kassouf said as he exposed the {j-Clubs}{10-Spades} before adding "nice hand". Cigliano doubled for 52,100 to put a dent into Kassouf's stack.
