Popa Loses the Minimum

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

The table of Rachid El Yaacoubi broke after the break and he recalled a hand in which he min-raised and Tudor Popa three-bet to 14,500 for El Yaacoubi to call. On a {a-}{a-}{2-} flop, Popa called a min-raise to 18,000 and both then checked down the {3-} turn and {4-} river runout.

Popa tabled the {a-}{k-} to win the pot. "I had ace-jack," El Yaacoubi said and Popa chimed in. "Really? I don't think so, maybe ace-seven," before they parted ways.

Evis Chips Up Through Farhat

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Buelent Evis
Buelent Evis

In the last hand prior to the break, Riadh Ben Farhat raised to 4,000 from under the gun and called a three-bet to 14,000 by Buelent Evis. The duo headed to the {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop on which Ben Farhat checked and subsequently called a bet worth 17,000.

Ben Farhat also check-called the {a-Diamonds} turn for 20,000 and then checked the {5-Clubs} river. Evis checked behind to get shown the {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for trips aces, to which he first rolled over the {k-Diamonds}. That was followed by the {a-Hearts} and a rather stunned Ben Farhat contemplated if that was a slowroll or not.

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Oleh Shkapenko raised to 5,000 and then faced the shove by Mohamed Bouchouit from two seats over for around 45,000 in the small blind. He went into the tank for more than three minutes and the clock was called, after which Shkapenko eventually called.

Mohamed Bouchouit: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} board gave Bouchouit two pair for the double.

One table over, Mihai Stinca jammed for the second hand in a row and this time earned a call by Andreas Fischer.

Mihai Stinca: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Andreas Fischer: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
