Fortunate Double for Bösch

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Down to the last 34,000, Oliver Bösch was all-in with the {6-Spades}{4-Hearts} out of the small blind. Lukasz Tomecki had an easy call with the {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} in the big blind but saw the {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} board improve Bösch to a straight eventually.

Lampropulos Eliminated by Rachedi

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Maria Lampropulos
Maria Lampropulos

Down to the last 22,000, Maria Lampropulos was all-in from middle position and Ali Rachedi raised to 40,000 on the button. The blinds got out of the way and the cards were revealed.

Maria Lampropulos: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Ali Rachedi: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} board gave Rachedi two pair and that spelled the end for Lampropulos.

Di Ceglie Folds Kings; Drusca Appreciates It

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Stefan Drusca
Stefan Drusca

Jan van der Stroom walked by the media desk to recall his elimination which happened to be a spectacular three-way all-in. The Dutchman had jammed for 42,000 from an early position and Pasquale Di Ceglie cold-called from one seat over.

Michael Krzyminski then jammed for around 92,000 and Stefan Drusca also got his 96,000 into the middle as well, to which Di Ceglie folded pocket kings face-up. That was also verified by the other players at the table including by Ori Hasson.

Long story short, the pocket jacks of van der Stroom and the pocket queens of Krzyminski were dominated by the pocket aces of Drusca and a king rolled off on the river for what would have been a triple knockout.

Branciforte Runs Into Aces

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Vito Branciforte pushed all-in for 32,000 in the cutoff and Christian Bertu just called on the button while the blinds got out of the way.

Vito Branciforte: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Christian Bertu: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

The board ran out {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} and the aces remained ahead all the way to eliminate Branciforte.

Ren Loses It All in Two Hands

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Sebastian Langrock
Sebastian Langrock

Guangwei Ren called a three-bet by Sebastian Langrock and both then had a piece of the {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop after which Langrock got it in with the {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}. Ren was trailing with the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} and found no miracle on the {3-Hearts}{6-Hearts} turn and river runout.

One hand later, Tudor Popa raised to 5,500 from under the gun and Ren three-bet to 15,000 out of a stack of 80,000. Popa then moved all-in and Ren called it off.

Guangwei Ren: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Tudor Popa: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

There was no glimpse of hope on the {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{a-Clubs} runout as Ren went from average stack to the rail.

Kaimakamis Flipped Out by Goossens

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Vangelis Kaimakamis
Vangelis Kaimakamis

Vangelis Kaimakamis got his shorter stack of around 65,000 into the middle before the flop and he was looked up by Guy Goossens to trigger the following all-in contest.

Vangelis Kaimakamis: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Guy Goossens: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop gave Goossens broadway while Kaimakamis had plenty of outs with his bottom set. However, both the {2-Hearts} turn and {3-Clubs} river were blanks to end the end of the WSOP Europe bracelet winner from Greece.

Large Batch of Day Two Casualties

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Bouchouit Chips Up Without Showdown

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Joining the action on the {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs} turn, Mohamed Bouchouit made it 13,500 out of the small blind. Narcis Nedelcu called in the big blind and the duo headed to the {10-Hearts} on the river. Bouchouit now fired a bet worth 21,000 and that got rid of Nedelcu.
