Level 13 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Michal Mrakes
Michal Mrakes

[Removed:514] was the initial raiser and earned calls from Tom Orpaz as well as Michal Mrakes, the latter of which was in the big blind. On the AJ2 flop, Mrakes checked to Lebong who bet 14,000 into 25,000 and Orpaz folded while Mrakes called.

The J turn paired the board and Mrakes checked more, prompting a bet worth 16,000 by [Removed:514] out of a stack of 50,000. Mrakes moved all-in and [Removed:514] called it off.

[Removed:514]: K10
Michal Mrakes: A7

The 6 river brought no help for the double draw and [Removed:514] exited prior the dinner break.

Level 13 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Ion Tabacaru
Ion Tabacaru

Todd Jatras raised to 6,000 and received one caller in Stefanos Michailidis from one seat over. Ion Tabacaru then pushed for 25,000 in the small blind and Jatras reshoved to isolate.

Ion Tabacaru: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Todd Jatras: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

Tabacaru already vaulted out of his chair and was on the way out after the {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop while the {3-Hearts} turn and {8-Clubs} river brought no miracle escape.

Hofmann Short Again

Level 13 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

On the river of a {q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} board, Daniel Lange pushed all-in for around 70,000. Thomas Hofmann had a dry expression on the face and said all but "nice spot" before tossing his cards into the muck.

Timo Kamphues was left with a short stack on the same table as well and departed shortly after.

Mehrens Scores a Fortunate Double

Level 13 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The cards were already turned over and Samin Mehrens was all-in with a dominated {a-Spades}{5-Spades}. He was up against {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and the board ran out {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for the weaker kicker to pair.

More Recent Eliminations

Level 13 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The Main Event field is cut down rapidly on Day 2 as the fourth level reduced the hopefuls to just over 200. More than half of those will leave empty-handed still as only the top 80 spots get paid. Full payout information will be published during the upcoming 30-minute dinner break.

Izadmousa Doubles Through Baldelli

Level 13 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Milad Izadmousa in the small blind had invested all but the last 2,500 chips and Fabien Baldelli called, suspecting that the Dutchman was all-in. Baldelli already exposed his {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} in the cutoff before the error was detected and his cards remained face-up on the {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop.

Izadmousa checked and the floor was then called to determine whether or not Baldelli could bet, which was confirmed. Izadmousa called all-in and tabled his {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}.

The pocket pair remained in front on the {q-Diamonds} turn and {9-Hearts} river for Izadmousa to double.

Steiner Sent to the Rail

Level 13 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Axel Steiner was all-in with a short stack and behind with {q-Hearts}{j-Spades} when facing the {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} of Markus Volm.

Both players had a piece on the {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop and Volm retained his lead throughout the {5-Clubs} turn as well as the {8-Spades} river. "Sorry," he instantly mentioned while Steiner replied "it's all good, has been like that all day".

Bise Runs Riot; Kassouf No More

Level 13 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Emil Bise raised to 7,000 and William Kassouf called. Andrea Gambino then pushed for 85,000 with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and Bise looked him up with the {a-Spades}{k-Spades} while Kassouf let go. On a board of {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}, Bise rivered the flush.

The Swiss then knocked out Kassouf and just now chopped a pot with Alireza Keyvar. On a {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades} river, Keyvar check-called for 35,000 with the words "normally I have to raise" and was shown the {q-Spades}{10-Hearts} by Bise. His {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} chopped it with broadway and Bise retained a stack of more than half a million.

Di Giacomo Flushed Away By Strauch

Level 13 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Three ways to the {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop, Claudio Di Giacomo was all-in for around 80,000 and Michael Strauch looked him up while Vojtech Ruzicka got out of the way.

Claudio Di Giacomo: {10-Spades}{8-Spades}
Michael Strauch: {a-Spades}{4-Spades}

The {5-Spades} turn left Di Giacomo with one out and the {k-Hearts} river brought no upset.
