Triple Up for Smintana Januszewski

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Ilie Smintana Januszewski
Ilie Smintana Januszewski

Down to the last three big blinds and in the under-the-gun position, Ilie Smintana Januszewski pushed all-in and was called by Marek Blasko on the button as well as Pierre Trauer in the big blind.

Both active players checked down the {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}{j-Spades} board and Trauer tabled the {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a pair of sevens. Smintana Januszewski had that beat with the {q-Spades}{8-Spades} and Blasko mucked the {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

At the same time, Silviu Baltaenu was knocked out by Andrea Sirigu and that brought the field down to 89 players.

Percic Gets a Shove Through Against Bohdanov

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Darko Percic
Darko Percic

The field is down to the final ten tables and just one table away from the stone cold money bubble.

Among those missing out on the min-cash are Symeon Alexandridis, Lukasz Tomecki and Christian Bertu.

Darko Percic was all-in for around 91,000 on the {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{a-Spades} river on which Renat Bohdanov was deep in the tank. Albert Hoekendijk called the clock and admitted that this may have been a first for him.

Bohdanov's additional thirty seconds ran down as he folded. Percic was asked to show a bluff and he revealed one of the cards, which happened to be the {q-Spades}.

The Bubble Is Looming

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Within quick succession, another three players were eliminated and that brought the field down to the last 93 contenders.

There was another all-in but no showdown followed over on table 82. The flop showed {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Danielle Noja bet 25,000 from under the gun. Lukas Klima then pushed for 138,000 on the button and got through with it.

Rachid El Yaacoubi

Andreas Fischer raised it up to 22,000 in the cutoff and Frantisek Jirout three-bet to 95,000 on the button. Rachid El Yaacoubi then four-bet jammed out of the big blind for 331,000 and Fischer let go, as did Jirout after asking for a count.

Gondrom Felted by Keyvar

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Alireza Keyvar
Alireza Keyvar

Andreas Gondrom flopped a set of eights out of the small blind on a board of {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{4-Hearts}. However, it was no good as Alireza Keyvar had flopped the nuts with the {q-Clubs}{j-Spades} from under the gun.

One hand later, Gondrom was all-in for a single chip with the {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and Darren Kennedy folded on the turn of a low board, while Keyvar tabled {q-Spades}{2-Spades}. The deuce made a pair and that spelled the end for Gondrom.

Final Break of the Night

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

There are only 98 players remaining and they have been sent on the final 15-minute break of the night. Only one 60-minute level is scheduled before Day 2 concludes and the money bubble is still more than a dozen eliminations away.

Tonino Schmitz won't be in the payouts as he risked it all with a flush draw against the two pair of Georgios Tsouloftas on an ace-jack high board to brick off.

Massive Double for Anzio Against Bertu

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Eden Anzio
Eden Anzio

Eden Anzio faced a three-bet to 70,000 by Christian Bertu in the small blind and then clicked it back to 198,000 in middle position. Bertu called after short consideration and both checked the {q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} flop.

After the {3-Clubs} turn, Bertu bet 115,000 for Anzio to swiftly call and that led them to the {10-Diamonds} river. Bertu now checked and Anzio pushed all-in for 266,000.

More than five minutes into the tank, the clock was called on Bertu and he tossed in a chip for the call within the thirty second countdown. Once Anzio tabled the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and Bertu was reluctant to reveal his, the player from Israel already celebrated.

The dealer exposed the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} as per all-in showdown rule and Anzio scooped a massive seven-figure pot.
