Another Double for Kersebom

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The next two players to fall were Catalin Diac and Davide Cigliano with the former first doubling Piotr Kruze before sending the remainder of the stack to Pasquale Di Ceglie.

Hans Kersebom earned another double up when Onur Unsal flopped top pair and top kicker with ace-jack only for Kersebom to have the best of it with {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} on the {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs} board to double his 320,000.

Chalkiadakis Doubles As the Post Bubble Action Picks Up

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Andreas Chalkiadakis
Andreas Chalkiadakis

Andreas Chalkiadakis was all-in with a short stack from under the gun and tabled the {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. He was dominated by Claudio Guadagnino with the {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} on the button but got there on the {q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} board.

Ilie Smintanca Januszewski had survived the bubble with a short stack and bowed out first in the money. He was followed by Ioannis Gerontas, who failed to get there with {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} against the {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} of Andrea Sirigu.

El Yaacoubi Eliminated on the Bubble by Bohdanov

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Rachid El Yaacoubi
Rachid El Yaacoubi

Renat Bohdanov raised from under the gun and Rachid El Yaacoubi defended out of the big blind. On a flop of {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, El Yaacoubi checked his option for Bohdanov to bet 47,000 and the Frenchman check-raised to 152,000. Bohdanov called and the {j-Diamonds} followed on the turn.

El Yaacoubi pushed all-in for 372,000 and Bohdanov immediately glanced at his table neighbour. Some thirty seconds passed as the WSOP Europe bracelet winner mulled it over and then splashed in calling chips.

El Yaacoubi was disgusted and verified with the dealer and floor that he was indeed called before showing his {k-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a gutshot. Bohdanov tabled his {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and the {8-Diamonds} river further improved his hand to a straight, bursting the money bubble.

Saleh Jams The Flop

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The table mocked the red-hot running Renat Bohdanov for folding preflop and what followed was a raise by Christian Berg from one seat over. Elias Abou Saleh defended the big blind and check-jammed the {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop for 135,000. Berg had invested 16,000 and asked if Saleh had a queen.

"I have my queen here," the Lebanese said and pointed to the dealer. More table chat followed and Berg folded as Saleh then added he had a flush draw.

In the meanwhile, Albert Hoekendijk chipped up through Jason Wheeler when he defended the small blind. Wheeler wisely checked behind the {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} river and was shown the {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for a straight.

"Do you usually defend that?" Wheeler asked and Hoekendijk replied "small blind special".

Melchers and Bohdanov Get Shoves Through

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Dorian Melchers raised to 25,000 and Iman Ghashayar three-bet to 72,000 in the cutoff. What followed was a four-bet shove by Melchers for 398,000 and Ghashayar asked for an exact count before folding.

At the same time, another bigger pot emerged between Berkan Munar in an early position and Renat Bohdanov on the button. The board showed {6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Munar checked with an average stack behind. Bohdanov pulled the trigger and pushed all-in, sending his opponent into a deep tank as well.

The same outcome followed as Munar ultimately got out of the way.

Alman Eliminated by Kersebom

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Hans Kersebom
Hans Kersebom

Hans Kersebom had previously doubled through Alexandru Alman previously and now finished the job soon after.

Alman raised to 40,000 in the small blind out of a stack of 125,000. Kersebom pushed and Alman tank-called all-in after waiting for all other tables to finish.

Alexandru Alman: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Hans Kersebom: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

The {8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{q-Spades} board brought the field down to the stone cold money bubble.

Bohdanov Back Above a Million

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Rachid El Yaacoubi and Renat Bohdanov continued their private duel as yet another chapter emerged. Out of the blinds, El Yaacoubi raised to 50,000 and Bohdanov called. The {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop brought a bet worth 26,000 by the Frenchman and a call.

El Yaacoubi bet another 89,000 on the {2-Diamonds} turn for Bohdanov to call and the {4-Diamonds} river was checked. Bohdanov won the pot with jack-nine for top pair to cruise back to a seven-figure stack.

Di Ceglie Wins Without Showdown

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

On the river of a {9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs} board, Catalin Diac checked out of the big blind. Pasquale Di Ceglie made it 135,000 to go and that represented a big portion of Diac's remaining stack. A short tank followed in which Di Ceglie tried to start some table chat but Diac folded.

"What did you fold?" the Croatian followed it up while he stacked the freshly won chips. "No information," Diac simply responded.

Three All-In Call; Three Double Ups

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Aleksandar Tomovic
Aleksandar Tomovic

During the same hand on three different tables, the chips went into the middle and three players were at risk two spots away from the money bubble.

The first one was Aleksandar Tomovic, who was trailing with {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} against the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} of Jason Wheeler. However, the {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Hearts}{q-Spades} board delivered the jack for the Serbian and he doubled for 76,000.

Up next, Renat Bohdanov jammed the button with a big stack and Christian Berg tank-called after three minutes in the small blind.

Christian Berg: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Renat Bohdanov: {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

"Sorry ... king of spades," Bohdanov joked but his prediction didn't become true on a {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{a-Spades} runout.

Last but not least, Hans Kersebom three-bet jammed for 131,000 on the button with the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} and Alexandru Alman called with the {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} in the cutoff. The {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{j-Clubs} board kept queens in the lead as the third player at risk also survived.

Kamphues Above a Million

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

On the tail end of a pot between Volkan Alkan and Lars Kamphues, the former checked out of the big blind on the {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} river. Kamphues bet 82,000 and Alkan sigh-called after a minute but mucked upon being shown {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}.
