Double Knockout for Gergic on Feature Table

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Fabio Pilato
Fabio Pilato

Fabien Parisel was all-in for the last 5,000 out of the big blind with the {6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} after he has lost all but the last chip in the previous hand.

Fabio Pilato raised with the {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} from an early position and Denis Gergoc called on the button with the {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}.

Pilato bet all the way on the {k-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop for 60,000, on the {q-Clubs} turn for 200,000 and jammed the {q-Hearts} river for 640,000. Once he was snap-called and tabled his sevens full, he was stunned by the runner-runner news as the field was reduced to 26 contenders.

Pagliuso Calls Correctly With Ace-High

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Alessandro Pagliuso raised the button to 80,000 and Samuel Tebege came along in the big blind.

They checked down the {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop and {2-Spades} turn. Tebege led the {4-Hearts} river for 200,000 and Pagliuso called. Marek Blasko predicted a hero-call by king or queen-high but it was Tebege who showed the {k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, which Pagliuso had beat with the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

Tsouloftas Jumps Into the Lead

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Georgios Tsouloftas raised it up to 80,000 and Radu Pitic came along out of the big blind. On a flop of {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}, Pitic check-called quickly when Tsouloftas continued for 75,000.

After the {6-Hearts} turn, Pitic checked once more and Tsouloftas fired a bet of 275,000 to receive a call.

Fast forward to the {2-Hearts} river, Pitic checked again and Tsouloftas bet 500,000. The call by the Romanian followed and Tsouloftas tabled the {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for the nut flush.

Chmiel Lose Short Stack Battle to Sirigu

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Tomasz Chmiel
Tomasz Chmiel

Shortly after seeing his stack reduced to fumes, Italy's Andrea Sirigu had doubled and that propelled his pile of chips ahead of Tomasz Chmiel. The latter was then in the big blind and Sirigu oushed it in for Chmiel to commit his last 210,000.

Tomasz Chmiel: {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Andrea Sirigu: {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

The {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} board left Chmiel drawing dead on the turn and ended his run in 29th place.

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Georgios Tsouloftas
Georgios Tsouloftas

With a medium-sized pot until the {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} turn, the chips went in between Andrea Sirigu and Georgios Tsouloftas. The Greek was at risk for 945,000 to create a pot of more than two million and the cards were exposed.

Georgios Tsouloftas: {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Andrea Sirigu: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The {3-Diamonds} river kept the broadway straight ahead and Tsouloftas leaped to a big stack.

Large Double for Tebege

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Samuel Tebege
Samuel Tebege

Ido Aboudi raised to 80,000 in the cutoff and Samuel Tebege simply jammed all-in for nearly one million in chips. The initial raiser mulled it over for a minute and then called.

Samuel Tebege: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Ido Aboudi: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop improved Tebege but Aboudi had the flush draw. Nothing changed with the {a-Clubs} turn nor the {10-Diamonds} river as Tebege had reason to celebrate.

Another Two Out in Quick Succession

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Massimo Schiralli became the next casualty on the feature table and moments later, Marc Siebtroth was sent to the rail on the outer tables in the poker arena.

Ido Aboudi had raised and then snap-called the shove by his table neighbour in a matter of a second.

Marc Siebtroth: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Ibo Aboudi: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

The "Stars nuts" didn't get there on the {k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} board and that send Siebtroth out next.

Hu Leads The Way; Melchers Not Far Behind

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Matthew Bushell lost a bigger pot after which David Hu jumped to the top of the leaderboard.

Hu was then also involved in a heads-up pot in a battle of the blinds with Dorian Melchers in which a pot of around 450,000 emerged until the {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{j-Spades} river. Melchers overbet for 650,000 and Hu reluctantly folded.

Covrig Rises Further With Showdown Pot

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Sergiu Covrig raised to 80,000 and table short stack Tomasz Chmiel defended the big blind. On a {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop, Chmiel check-called for 50,000 and did so again for 85,000 on the {3-Diamonds} river. Both checked the {5-Hearts} river on which Chmiel briefly showed his cards but couldn't beat the {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} of Covrig.
