Kully Sidhu

Kully Sidhu was one of the player who did not attend Day 1a.

It seems that he arrived quite late today. Sidhu fell to only 9,000 chips and just found a lucky double up with {q-Hearts}{10-Spades} against {a-Clubs}{3-Hearts} thanks to a {10-Hearts} on the turn.

Bilem Takes the Lead

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

EPT Champion Remi Castaignon told to PokerNews about a big hand played at his table.

Four players limped before the flop {j-}{5-}{2-} and all chips went in the middle between Mehdi Bilem and an opponent, building a huge 350,000 pot.

With two pairs {j-}{5-}, Bilem cracked pocket Kings and gathered a massive stack.

The Portuguese player won the 6,000 MAD Mini Main Event a few days ago, for 700,000 MAD (around €63,200) and a Ring.

With this victory, he claimed a WSOP Global Casino Championship package to compete in Las Vegas in June 2023 (a million dollars guaranteed tournament).

Da Silva Doubles With Aces

Level 11 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

He was one of the last player to enter the tournament : Corsican player Stephane Dossetto, who finished fifth in the 20,000 MAD High Roller for 377,000 MAD (around €34,300), failed to increase his stack.

Dossetto busted at the exact same moment of Julien Da Silva's double up.

The player from Bordeaux (in South West of France) opened for 4,300 in early position and the big blind decided to put him at risk. Da Silva quickly called with Aces and 45,0000 chips. He survived against pocket sixes.
