2025 WSOP Circuit Marrakech
Cards went on their backs on Table 13 with Benjamin Lakatos at risk for 16,500 against Miroslav Alilovic to his left.
Benjamin Lakatos: J♥10♥
Miroslav Alilovic: A♠A♣
Lakatos was on the edge of elimination, but he was lucky enough to hit a full house on J♠3♥3♠K♦J♦ to double up.
Bruno "Kool Shen" Lopes opened to 4,000 from middle position. He faced Daniel El Keslassy, who defended from the big blind.
Both players checked the 10♠J♠8♦ flop, and checked again on the K♠ turn.
After El Keslassy checked the 6♥ river, Kool Shen bet 10,000. El Keslassy went deep into the tank, and eventually made the call.
However he couldn't do much against Lopes, who flipped over A♥A♣ to scoop the pot.
Level: 12
Blinds: 1,000/2,000
Ante: 2,000
The 257 remaining players are on a 15-minute break.
Jassim Alawadhi in middle position found himself at risk for 12,200 against Thami Khettam under the gun.
Jassim Alawadhi: A♥K♠
Thami Khettam: K♣Q♣
"No queen, no clubs," Alawadhi said when he flipped over his cards. The board of 9♠6♣5♥10♦9♥ didn't change anything, so he doubled up.
The final duel felt like a roller coaster last January at the Casino de Marrakech inside the Es Saadi Resort. After a two-and-a-half-hour-long heads-up battle where both players had opportunities to win, Max Deveson was finally crowned the champion of the 2024 WSOP Circuit Marrakech Main Event.
Deveson is now the proud owner of a WSOP Circuit ring and took home 2,150,000 MAD (approximately €200,000). Obviously exhausted and disappointed, Antoine Delorme finished in second place out of a field of 1,163 entrants, going home with 1,550,000 MAD (€143,000).

Both Hajjoubi and Cubex checked the J♦K♠5♠, but Cubex bet 5,000 on the 6♣ turn. Hajjoubi check-folded.
Loic Lecharny: A♦K♥
Cubex: J♥10♥
Cubex had a pair, but it was not enough to eliminate Lecharny, who hit two pair with the A♠ river to triple up.
Sebastien Boyard found himself at risk for 33,500 against Romain Le Dantec to his right.
Sebastien Boyard: K♣K♥
Romain Le Dantec: Q♣10♥
Boyard's king held on Q♥2♦A♦7♥7♠ and he secured a double up.
