Benjamin Hammann called from the button before Neculai Macovei raised to 1,600,000 in the big blind. Hammann called and the dealer spread out the 4♥K♥4♦ flop.

Macovei continued for 1,300,000, and Hammann stuck around with a call.

The 2♥ fell on the turn, and after Macovei checked, Hammann bet 1,900,000. Macovei called.

Macovei was in the perfect spot to double up to a playable stack, as he had Hammann dominated.

The flop came down 4♥4♠6♠ to give Hammann some possible chop opportunities.

A 10♣ on the turn meant Hammann required a five on the river to end the tournament.

It didn't come as the 4♣ completed the board, keeping Macovei's ace-queen high as the best hand, and he was up to 13,000,000.
