Gehrmann Loses Some to Bleiker

Moritz Bleiker made it 5,000 to go from the cutoff before Michael Gehrmann three-bet to 16,500 from the button. When it got back to Bleiker, he called, and the dealer fanned out a 6♣J♣A♠ flop.

Bleiker started with a check and Gehrmann fired for 8,000. Bleiker continued via a call.

Two checks followed the Q♥ turn for the K♣ to complete the board. Bleiker placed out a bet, putting Gehrmann all in for his remaining 85,000 or so. Gehrmann folded and surrendered the pot to Bleiker.

Daniel Peray min-raised to 5,000 under the gun before Claudio Di Giacomo three-bet to 25,000 from the small blind. Johan Gunzinger four-bet ripped it for 60,000 from the big blind, forcing Peray to fold. Di Giacomo called to put Gunzinger at risk.

The flop came down 6♥J♦7♠ to give Gunzinger top set and a commanding lead in the hand.

A K♥ on the turn left Di Giacomo drawing dead as the 8♣ river was just a necessity, and Gunzinger doubled.

David Weder made it 5,500 from the hijack with Fabian Keller calling in the cutoff, and Aram Ali defending from the big blind.

Once Ali knuckled it over to Weder on the monotone 8♦4♦A♦ flop, Weder bet 8,000. Keller folded, but Ali check-raised enough to put Weder all in. Weder called for his stack of 25,000 and the cards were flipped over.

Both players had top pair, but it was Weder's queen-kicker that played to have him in the lead.

Molinod's overpair was ahead right now, and Muehlebach needed to find an eight on the river to send Molinod home.

Muehlebach had done it earlier in the day, by rivering a two-outer to bust someone, but lightning doesn't strike twice as the A♦ hit the river, and Molinod survived.
