Calderone moved further ahead on the 8♦A♦8♣ flop by pairing his ace. Hammann needed running cards to win, but the rest of the board ran out 3♣Q♣, and Calderone secured a much-needed double-up.

Eros Calderone raised to 300,000 in the cutoff and only Benjamin Hammann called on the button.

Check, check came after the 3♣3♠9♦ flop, with the J♠ arriving on the turn. Calderone bet 250,000 and Hammann called.

The 8♦ completed the board, and Calderone bet 300,000. Hammann thought for a while and then raised to 1,000,000.

Calderone only had 1,200,000 left, and the raise was for more than half of his stack. After a bit of a tank, Calderone called with A♥K♥ for ace-high. Hammann revealed K♣J♦ for a pair of jacks, and he was given the pot.

Holding J♠J♥, Flynn Meichtry raised under the gun to 300,000 before Angelo Arossi three-bet from the cutoff to 800,000 with 9♥9♣. When it got back around to Meichtry, he four-bet to 1,700,000. Arossi continued via a call.

A flop of 10♠3♠10♥ revealed itself and Meichtry continued with a small bet of 650,000. Arossi tossed his pair of nines away and allowed Meichtry to drag in the pot.

When it got back to Calderone, he thought for a while, and then four-bet ripped it for 1,800,000. Hammann instantly folded.

Kilian Kramer raised to 300,000 from the cutoff and Flynn Meichtry jammed out of the big blind. Kramer called to put himself at risk for his last 2,200,000 and the cards were tabled.

It was a flip, with Kramer holding the overcards against Meichtry's small pocket pair.

A flop of 8♦Q♥7♥ came down, which was no help for Kramer.

The 7♣ on the turn meant Kramer was one card away from having his Main Event come to an end.

The dealer burned a card and then put out the 4♦ to complete the board. Meichtry's fives won the pot, and Kramer ventured to the cashier's desk to collect his seventh -place payout.
