Gehbauer's Straight Earns Him the Pot

Level 6 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On a flop of J910, Jurgen Berthold checked from the big blind and Florian Gehbauer bet 1,700 from under the gun. Berthold check-raised to 3,500, and after a few moments, Gehbauer three-bet to 8,900. Berthold continued with a call.

A 3 came on the turn and Berthold check-called the bet of 8,500 from Gehbauer.

Defteraios Tells Haran He's "Crazy"; Xu Stays Alive

Level 5 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Sanjay Haran
Sanjay Haran

From the cutoff, Sanjay Haran made it 1,800 to go, and Evangelos Defteraios called on the button. Mo Xu squeezed it up to 16,000 out of the big blind with just a few hundred chips behind. Haran jammed for about 50,000, which forced Defteraios to fold. Xu called, and the players revealed their cards.

Mo Xu: A9 All in
Sanjay Haran: QJ

Upon seeing Haran's queen-high, Defteraios exclaimed, "You crazy man!"

Xu was currently ahead with ace-high, but Haran held two live Broadway cards.

Xu hit top pair on the 974 flop, and remained ahead after the 4 rolled out on the turn.

A K on the river wasn't any help for Haran, and Xu secured the much-needed double-up.

Gulas Sniffs Out the Bluff

Level 5 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Heads-up to a flop of 10KJ with roughly 12,500 in the pot. Josef Gulas checked from the big blind, and the player on the button checked behind.

A second check came from Gulas on the 9 turn and the button fired out for around 3,500. Gulas continued via a call.

The board-pairing 9 completed the board, and Gulas checked. The button gathered together a bet of 12,500, and Gulas quickly flicked in one chip to call.

The button showed a complete airball with A4, and lost the pot to Gulas' KQ for a straight.

Kempf Finishes Delval Off

Level 4 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Frederic Delval
Frederic Delval

Frédéric Delval was short-stacked and got the remainder of his chips in the middle preflop with Marco Kempf trying to send him for an early shower.

Frédéric Delval: AK All in
Marco Kempf : KK

It was a brutal cooler for Delval, who needed to find an ace on the runout to beat the pocket kings of Kempf.

Delval picked up a gutshot on the J3Q flop, but found no help on the 5 turn or 2 river. Delval headed to the rail, while Kempf added some chips to his stack.
