Two More Levels Before Dinner

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

With 67 players remaining there are two hour-long levels to go before the dinner break scheduled for 21.00 p.m. tonight. It's going to be close whether or not we will hit the bubble before or after players go on that hour long break

Taylor Hits One-Outer

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

News reaches us of an earlier pot worth over 200,000 involving Guy Taylor and Barny Boatman. Taylor shoved {K-}{10-} over an open for 89,000. Barny Boatman called with {A-}{Q-} and the opener folded. Taylor ended up finding a ten, which was made all the more remarkable by the fact that someone at the table had folded tens! Taylor now sits above average with Barny Boatman not far behind

Nokra Doubles Up Mikenas

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Mouad Nokra raised to 11,500 UTG and was shoved on by Paulius Mikenas in the cut-off with 35,500 chips. It folded back round to Nokra who made the call

Nokra: {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Mikenas: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Nokra was drawing thin to try and bust a player halfway through Level 18, but it wasn't to be as the board bricked {Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, despite Nokra's best efforts to bang the table as the river was dealt, in the hope that an Ace would magically appear.

Nokra still sits with well over double average whereas Mikenas is well on the road to recovery.

More Bustouts

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Big names continue to fall with just 57 remaining now with 80 minutes remaining before the dinner break. Pierre Neuville, [Removed:30] and Julien Loire have all fallen by the way-side.

It was an interesting end for Guillaume Darcourt. Darcourt raised, and was three -bet and ended up four-bet shoving {10-Hearts}{5-Spades} and got called by {A-}{Q-}. The board was {3-Hearts}{J-Spades}{K-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and the tournament just lost one of its more colourful characters.

Requiao Takes From Benaissa

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Rodrigo Requiao was counting out the chips when we got to the table, with the board reading {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Sofian Benaissa staring him down. Requiao called and reluctantly Benaissa tabled {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and Requiao tabled {4-Hearts}{6-Hearts} to scoop the pot. Both players have well over double average as we approach the money bubble

Souaid Wins Some Off Vizcaino

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

When we got to table seven, we saw David Vizcaino calling a bet of 10,000 rom Karim Souaid on a flop of {A-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}. The turn [6] was checked, and both players saw a river of the {3-Spades}. Souaid bet out 15,000 and was quickly called by Vizcaino, who saw the bad news as his opponent tabled {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
