Paul Michaelis got moved tables after the break and was then suddenly at the payout desk. It turns out that Amir Mozaffarian had raised and Andrew King three-bet from the button. Michaelis shoved for 285,000 from the small blind with pocket eights and King called with pocket aces to score the knockout.

Mozaffarian also gave up a middle-sized pot to Aleksei Ivanov after the latter gave him the staredown on the turn {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} after betting 125,000.

Firsau Doubles Through Erdar

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Süleyman Erdar was involved in yet another all in situation and Vasili Firsau was at risk for his last 232,000 with the {A-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Erdar was having the better of it with the {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, but that only lasted until the turn of a board {6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. Once the showdown was over, Firsau then led out a loud "yessss" to needle his opponent a bit. In every bigger pot that Erdar had won, he had celebrated loudly on the table thus far.

Soon after, Tonino Schmitz raised and Zech three-bet to 93,000 from the button. Schmitz called and they checked down the flop {4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. On the {7-Diamonds} turn, Schmitz check-called a bet worth 71,000 before the {5-Clubs} was checked through again. Zech showed {K-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and that was good enough to win the pot.

Mozaffarian Loses the Minimum

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

On the river of a {3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{K-Clubs}{10-Hearts} board, Amir Mozaffarian bet 105,000 for half the pot with {Q-}{10-} and his opponent Thomas Erler just flat-called and then showed {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} for a full house. Mozaffarian could have surely lost more chips there and also admitted that once the hand was over.
