Angelini Bluffs It Off

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

With 52,000 in the middle and the completed board showing {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, Nicola Angelini moved all-in for 40,000. He only had to get through Karim Mzoughi, who has been enjoying a massage for a while.

The Frenchman however called the shove with the {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} and Angelini was caught with the fingers in the cookie jar, as he only tabled {5-Spades}{3-Hearts}.

Lucky Double for Somers

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante
Fabrice Somers
Fabrice Somers

There was a loud outburst on the left tournament area and when the live updates team arrived, Fabrice Somers was already celebrating.

The Belgian had gotten his stack of more than 60,000 in preflop with the {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} only to run it smack dab into the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} of Claudio Di Giacomo. However, the board ran out {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Clubs} and Somers scored the fortunate double.

Cammisuli Wins With a Queen

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

On the river of a board {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, Shawn Morales made it 14,000 to go in a battle of the blinds. Flaviano Cammisuli swiftly called and Morales briefly flashed his cards but was caught bluffing. Cammisuli only had {q-Spades}{4-Clubs} for a pair of queens but that won the pot.

Bahri Bluffs It Off; Hofmann Loses Some

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Nenad Skaricic had already invested a lot of chips and then called the shove by Safwane Bahri on the {10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} river. Bahri was caught bluffing with the {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Skaricic won the pot with {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

"Of course it is possible that he has the overpair," he said while collecting the pot.

Thomas Hofmann chimed in "but it was so obvious" before then raising to 2,000. A short stack jammed for 7,700 and Hofmann took the flip with {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} versus {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. The {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{j-Spades} board improved the short stack on the river.

Pustina Binks the River

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Vlastimil Pustina was all-in for 20,500 with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and flipped, as Vivian Saliba tabled {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for the pair.

It was seemingly over on the {j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop and the {4-Diamonds} turn bricked. However, Pustina got there thanks to the {10-Hearts} river with a queen-high straight.

Much Drama After a Split Pot

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

The floor was called very vehemently to table 88 while a hand without too much drama played out. Safwane Bahri bet the {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} turn for 2,300 and Han Kuo called, Silviu Baltateanu folded. On the [Q] river, Bahri bet another 4,000 to earn a call and Ku chopped with {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs} versus {a-Spades}{6-Spades}.

It was then explained to the floor that Baltateanu had been very aggressive towards the dealer after losing a big pot. Sure enough, two minutes later the Romanian lost the remaining chips and was spotted on the way out.

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante
Dominik Paus
Dominik Paus

Dominik Paus opened to 2,200 and Robert Ashelm called in the small blind. Hendriekus Soering three-bet to 10,000 in the big blind and Paus then clicked it back to 23,500. Ashelm tanked for more than two minutes and folded, Soering jammed for 48,000 and was instantly called.

Hendriekus Soering: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Dominik Paus: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and the kicker played to eliminate Soering.

"I had pocket tens," Ashelm admitted in the table chat.
