Karli Doubles Through Kabrhel

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

In a three-bet pot in which Martin Kabrhel raised to 20,000 and called a reraise to 126,000. The flop brought {q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and that's when the stack of Sami Karli for 376,000 went into the middle, Kabrhel check-called.

Sami Karli: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Martin Kabrhel: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The {9-Hearts} turn and {7-Clubs} river were no threat for Karli and he doubled.

Martinelli Out Before the Money

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Milad Izadmousa isolated over a short-stacked push by Corrado Martinelli for around seven blinds and all other players got out of the way.

Corrado Martinelli: {a-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Milad Izadmousa: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Only one deuce appeared on the {k-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs} board and that spelled the end for Martinelli in 101st place.

The Money Bubble is Near

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Robert Ashelm and Stefan Aerts were among the most recent casualties.

Moncef Karoui doubled through Massimo De Mario with ace-five suited against pocket queens and then apologised to his opponent after all was done.

In the meanwhile, Karo Nuri won a big pot against Georgios Tsouloftas when he check-raised the {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades} turn from 110,000 to 250,000. Tsouloftas opted to fold and then bounced back by dispatching Aerts.

The tournament is now down to the final 102 players and 95 of them will make the money.

Tran Busts to Achegsei

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Ahmad Achegsei
Ahmad Achegsei

Do Tran shipped for around 160,000 on the {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop and was called by Ahmad Achegsei.

Tran's {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} had a straight draw but Achegsei was ahead with the {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. The {10-Spades} turn and the {5-Spades} river brought no help to Tran and he was sent to the rail shy of the money.

Panetti Jams Up Stack

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

There are currently 106 players remaining as Wolfgang Simperl had his aces cracked by pocket queens according to his chat as he walked out of the tournament area.

Christophe Panetti collected a nice add-on to his stack when he three-bet jammed for 218,000 into an open-raise to 22,000 and three callers. They all folded, including Martin Kabrhel, who joked "nice spot and the worst hand gets the folds."

Popa Doubles Through Ntoumos

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Vasilios Ntoumos took a hit to his stack when he looked up new table neighbour Mihail Popa for the last 90,000.

Popa's {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} were ahead of {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and that remained the case on the {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} runout. Several other players were not as fortunate as the field is now already down to the last 110 contenders.

Achegsei Jams Into Levi

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

There are now at least two players above one million in chips. One is Mourad Tounnouti and the other happens to be Ahmad Achegsei on the same table. Achegsei just won a big pot off Shahar Levi.

Achegsei had flat-called an initial raise and Levi three-bet to 90,000 in the small blind, which only Achegsei in the cutoff called. Levi check-raised from 75,000 to 220,000 on the {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop and earned a snap-call by Achegsei. On the {5-Clubs} turn, Levi opted to check and Achegsei jammed for 439,000.

Levi was deep in the tank and the clock was called on him. Thirty seconds ran down without any decision and Levi's hand was dead, he then walked away from the table for a short while.

Lombardo Scores a Big Double

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

There was frantic celebration and some words in Italian when Simone Lombardo earned a full double through Norbert Berent.

As the live reporting team arrived, the board showed {4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} already and Lombardo doubled for 213,000 with {a-Spades}{q-Spades} versus {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. The pot had grown to more than 220,000 by then and Berent was suddenly left with a shorter stack.
