Ntoumos Doubles Through Tsouloftas

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

With some 180,000 in the middle on the {q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs} turn, Vasilios Ntoumos jammed for 118,000 and Georgios Tsouloftas eventually called with the superior stack.

Vasilios Ntoumos: {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Georgios Tsouloftas; {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The {10-Spades} river brought no flush but the double for Ntoumos.

Bise Near the Top

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Emil Bise also raked in the stack of Silviu Baltateanu to all but reach one million in chips. "This is my tournament," the Swiss said with a big grin on the face. With now 114 players remaining, the money bubble is slowly but surely approaching.

Oosterbaan Scores a Double

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Martin Kabrhel has emerged as one of the biggest stacks in the room while the field was reduced by two contenders, bringing the field down to 117 hopefuls.

Sylvester Oosterbaan was also at risk but prevailed when his {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} held against the {k-Spades}{7-Spades} of Ahmad Achegsei. Neither player connected with the {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{6-Diamonds} board and the ace-eight was good enough for the double.

Rezai Eliminated by Tounnouti

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The stack of Mahyar Rezai was pushed towards Mourad Tounnouti when both players clashed with pocket pairs.

Rezai had been all-in for around 330,000 with the {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} while Tounnouti flipped over the superior {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Until the {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{10-Hearts} turn, Rezai picked up an additional gutshot but the {a-Clubs} river was a blank.

Georgios Tsouloftas
Georgios Tsouloftas

Mitra Seleman opened to 20,000 and then faced the three-bet to 60,000 by Georgios Tsouloftas in the small blind. Seleman jammed and was called instantly.

Mitra Seleman: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Georgios Tsouloftas: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

There was no hope at all on a board of {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Tsouloftas further boosted his already impressive stack.

More Recent Casualties

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The next table broke and that reduced the field to around 120 players remaining.

Bensimhon's Fate Revealed

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The live stream has caught up to the hand that left Eyal Bensimhon very short. He ran with {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} into the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} of Yusuf Orzkacar and found no miracle on the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades} board. Bensimhon busted soon after while Orzkacar, now back on the outer tables, sits on a stack just below the average.

Recent Eliminations

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Only 126 players remain but the money bubble is still 30 spots away.

Ben Zvi Wins Big Pot in Bizarre Fashion

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Heads-up to the {k-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{j-Hearts} turn, Asaf Ben Zvi three-bet to 150,000 and Stephan Kohlstetter called as both players exposed their cards already. There was one problem, however, as both had chips behind! The floor was called and the cards were ruled as live.

Kohlstetter had the {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} for trips kings while Ben Zvi already held a full house with the {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. The {2-Diamonds} on the river was a blank and for obvious reasons, no further chips were committed by Kohlstetter, who sunk down in his seat for more than a minute.

Gilboa Doubles Through Cohen

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Uri Gilboa
Uri Gilboa

Three ways to the {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{q-Diamonds} turn, Norbert Berent bet 62,000. Uri Gilboa then jammed for 177,000 and Yehuda Cohen shipped it in for more to force out Berent.

Uri Gilboa: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Yehuda Cohen: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Gilboa needed a queen and got just that on the {q-Hearts} river to erupt in celebration. Cohen was left short and jammed the next hand to win the blinds and antes. He now also has a banana in his stack, too, which he had put on the line in the previous hand.
