Once the spectators have been ushered out of the Amazon Room and play begins, a cathedral-like hush seems to come over the Amazon Room in the opening minutes of these large-field $1,500 tournaments. As the first-timers' nerves wear off and players settle in to their tables, the volume starts to slowly turn up on the room. And when the spectators are allowed back in... well, forget about it.
