Tony "G" Guoga Loses Pot to Ace-High Flush

Tony "G" Guoga bet 150 from early position and was called by the cut-off and big blind. The flop was {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. The big blind checked, Guoga bet 400, the cut-off called and the big blind folded. The {J-Clubs} came on the turn and Guoga bet 800. His opponent thought for a moment, and then called. The river was {9-Clubs} and both players checked. Guoga's opponent turned over {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} for an ace-high flush and Guoga mucked his cards.

Evelyn Ng Wins An Early Pot

After four players (including Evelyn Ng, Andrew Black and Josh Arieh) called a 650 re-raise from the player on the button, they saw a flop of {4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. The raiser bet 2,000 and Ng moved all-in. Everyone folded except for the raiser, who called and showed {4-Hearts}{4-Spades} for a set but Ng flopped top set with {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and won a pot that lifted her stack to 13,500.

The Fun Table

Comedian Norm McDonald is seated with Phil Laak, Dan Schmiech and Sorel Mizzi.

In the picture Norm looks contemplative - but later confessed he was just watching Tiger Woods on the plasma TV.

John Gale Out

John Gale bets out 1,500 on a board of {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}, and his opponent moves all in for about another 4,200, which covers Gale. Gale calls, and the hands are turned up.

{A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} - Gale
{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} - Opponent

And John Gale has been eliminated from the tournament.
