William Thorsson Takes Pot with Full House

On a board of {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{J-Clubs} the small blind bet 600, William Thorsson raised 1,500, the small blind reraised 4,000 and Thorsson called. The river came {K-Spades}. The small blind checked, Thorsson bet 2,000 and his opponent called all-in for 1,600. Thorssons' opponent showed J-6 for two pair. But Thorsson turned over K-J for a full house. After the hand, Thorsson had 23,500.

Joe Hachem Knocked Down and Then Out

In the first of two big hands that sent Joe Hachem to the rail, he found the cooler hitting a set of 4's on a board of {9-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}, while his opponent flopped a Jack high flush.

That hand left him with 6,000 chips and shortly thereafter, he found himself with just 2,300 and all-in with pocket 6's. He was met by two opponents who pushed all-in behind him; one held {A-Spades}{K-Spades} and the other {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

The board filled out {Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, and Hachem was eliminated from the tournament.

Carli Hits a Straight Flush

Doug Carli just experienced one of poker's dream situations: he held a straight flush while his opponent had the Ace-high flush.

The board read {J-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and these were the hands of the players involved:

Doug "Rico" Carli: {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Unknown: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Shawn Deeb: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}

Carli won a monster pot on the hand and brought his stack back up to 8,700. Deeb dropped to 13,500.
