Nursing a short stack, Dan Alspach and two other players saw a flop of {K-Clubs}

. The small blind checked and Alspach, in the big blind, bet 1450. The player UTG raised the pot and both the small blind and Alspach called. The small blind had {A-Clubs}

for the set, and Alspach held {Q-Diamonds}

appeared on the turn and when the board didn't pair Alspach's flush tripled him up.

On the very next hand Alspach got all his chips in against the player who'd just lost with the set of Tens. This time he had pocket Queens, which didn't match up well against Alspach's pocket Aces. The board bricked out and, just like that, Dan Alspach is up to 17,100.
