Corey Catches a Break

Short-stacked Corey Parpart raised 16K of his 19K with A-6, only to have Rene Mouritsen reraise and isolate with K-K.

No help until the river for Corey but the "ace magnets" lived up to their name when the {A-Spades} on the river doubled Corey up.

Phil Gets His Wish

Prior to the restart of this round, Phil Gordon approached us and told us that in three double-ups, he'd be chip leader.

Raising preflop, and only leaving himself 5,000 in chips, Phil was hoping for a call. He got one from the big blind, who pushed Phil all in. Phil turned over K-Q and Christoph Niesert turned over 9-8. Both players missed the board and Phil's wish was granted: First double-up accomplished!

Mike Dolloff Eliminated

After being short-stacked for most of the last six levels, Mike Dolloff has been knocked out.

Holding {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, his all-in was called by Reza Zand holding {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}.

The flop was {Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} giving Reza a flush draw.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds}.

The river spelt the end for Mike with a {6-Hearts} making Reza his flush.
