Phil Gordon Gets Active Early

In just the first level of play, Phil Gordon has not been shy about pushing his chips around. With a fair amount of chips already in the pot and the board showing {J-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades} Phil Gordon called his opponent's all-in bet. Gordon showed {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} which was behind the {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} of his opponent. The river brought a {Q-Clubs} and Gordon doubled up early.

The very next hand, Phil Gordon made a raise from the button and was re-raised by the small blind. Gordon pushed all in and was insta-called by his opponent. Gordon showed {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} again but was behind to his opponent's {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}. When the smoke cleared, his opponent's kings held up and Phil Gordon was right back where he started with about 3,000 chips.
