E-Fro Likes One-Outers

Eric Froehlich raised to 4,000 from the cutoff and Ted Forrest called from the big blind. The flop was {J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. Froehlich bet 10,000, Forrest made a pot-sized raise, Froehlich moved all in for 38,000 and Forrest called. Froehlich turned over {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs} for a pair of jacks while Forrest tabled {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for two pair. The turn was the {Q-Diamonds}, opening up a flush draw for Forrest to go with his two pair, but the river was the {10-Clubs}, the one card in the deck Froehlich could win with.

After the hand, Froehlich was up to 86,000 while Forrest was down to 13,000.

Hoyt Corkins Eliminated

Hoyt Corkins got the rest of his chips in the pot on a {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop holding the {A-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades} for an open-ended straight draw and the nut flush draw. His opponent held {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for a set of sevens. The turn was the {K-Hearts} and the river was the {9-Spades}, missing Corkins's outs and he was eliminated.

Tony G Drops the Hammer

Four limpers, including Tony G in the big blind, saw a flop of {4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Tony G led out for 1,200 inducing folds from all his opponents.

As the pot was pushed his way, Tony G flashed 7-2, a.k.a. "The Hammer."

"I always have 7-2, so whenever there's two deuces out there you all can just give it up."
