Johnny Chan Triples Up

Johnny Chan found himself all in preflop holding {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Two other players called and Chan looked to triple up if he could show down a winner. When the dust settled, the board read {10-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Despite the pair on board, Chan's nut flush was best and he tripled up to 25,000.

Andy Black Eliminated; Almost Comes to Blows

Andy Black was all in with a short stack. Huckleberry Seed called.

Black: {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Seed: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

The flop was {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. The turn was the {9-Diamonds} and the river was {2-Diamonds}. Seed won with a nut flush. Black was busted by Seed. Before he left the table, Davood Mehrmand taunted Black and said, "See you later."

Black and Mehrmand had been jawing over the last two hours and the they almost came to blows. The floor had to be called over to calm Black down. At one point he had his arm cocked back, as if to drop Davood Mehrmand.

Todd Brunson Likes the Nut Flush

An early-position player raised preflop to 2,000, Todd Brunson called from the button and the small blind called. The flop was {A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and the action was checked around. The turn was the {5-Hearts}. The small blind checked, the EP player checked, Brunson bet 5,000, the small blind called and the EP player folded. The river was the {6-Hearts}. The small blind checked, Brunson bet 6,000 and the small blind called.

Brunson showed {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} for the nut flush. The small blind turned over {4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a smaller flush and Brunson dragged the pot.

Brunson was up to 63,000 after the hand.
