Gus Hansen raised to 2,200 from the small blind and Daniel Alaei called from the big blind. Hansen drew two while Alaei drew one. Hansen checked, Alaei bet 6,000 and Hansen called. Hansen showed a jack-low and Alaei took it down with a ten-low.
After being dealt 2-3-4-7 before the draw, Noah Jefferson drew one. He squeezed his card ever so slowly and upon discovering it was a 5, he proudly held up his wheel and showed it to the table with a smile.
Doyle Brunson raised to 2,400 from middle position, Bob Bright called from late position, Minh Ly moved all in for 10,000 more from the small blind, Brunson called and Bright folded. Brunson drew one and Ly stood pat. Brunson showed a J-8 low, but Ly had a 9-low and took the pot.
A late-arriving Gus Hansen just took down a big pot with a queen-low vs. Allen Cunningham. Cunningham started with four small cards, but paired up on the draw.
Erick Lindgren raised to 3,000 from the button, Andy Bloch moved all in for 6,000 from the small blind, Chad Brown called from the big blind and Lindgren called. Bloch and Brown stood pat while Lindgren drew one. Bloch showed down 2-3-4-5-8 and took the pot.
Chad Brown raised to 3,000, Lyle Berman called, David Chiu re-raised all in for 6,300, Brown moved all in over the top for 21,000, and Berman called. Brown stayed pat, Berman drew one and Chiu rapped pat as well. Brown showed 3-4-5-7-T and took it down. He was up to 55,000 after the hand.
