Support Needed

Team Dooley
Team Dooley
As mentioned earlier, there are players with their own cheering squads on the rails all around the room. One such group is here to support Miles Dooley. They have brought banners and signs to make sure that their support is noticed. However, sitting immediately to Dooley's left is a guy by the name of Barry Greenstein. Miles needs all the support he can get.

No Laughing Matter

Jeff Madsen, who is dressed up as a Jester today as a result of a prop bet he made with Gavin Smith and Joe Sebok, wasn't smiling after a hand in which he mucked his cards at the showdown.

On a board showing {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, Madsen bet 6,000 and his opponent called. The {Q-Clubs} fell on the river and both players checked. Madsen's opponent showed {J-Spades}{8-Spades} for a Queen-high straight and Madsen mucked, saying "I had a lot of outs."

The hand left Madsen with 55,200 chips.

{K-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}

On the river, the BB checks, Neverwin bets 5,200, and the BB check-raises an additional 9,800 on top. Neverwin folds A-K face up and his opponent rakes in a huge pot. Neverwin is left with 11,500.

Hard to Read

After limping, Joe Awada calls the small blind's raise of 2,400. The flop was {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. The small blind checked, Awada bet out 3,500, and the small blind called. The turn was the {3-Spades}. The SB checked, Awada bet 7,400, and the SB check-raised all in for 37,000. As soon as he moved his chips in, the small blind player covered his head and put his face down on the table so Awada would be unable to get a read on him. Awada grinned at him for some time. Finally, after another player called the clock on him, Awada released his hand.

Tom Schneider On the Move

A middle position player raised to 1,200 and was reraised to 12,000 by the cutoff. From the big blind, Tom Schneider then moved all in over the top for 25,000. The initial raiser folded and the cutoff made the call. Tom showed {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and his opponent held {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}. The kings held up when the board ran out {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}, and Schneider has moved his stack to nearly 60,000.
