Michael Pesek Pushes Alexander Kostritsyn Out of a Pot

After Michael Pesek opened for 25,000 Alexander Kostritsyn reraised to 90,000. Pesek then moved all in for his last 232,000 and Kostritsyn laid his hand down. Picking up that pot lifted Pesek's stack to 290,000 while Kostritsyn, down to around 215,000, surrendered nearly a third of his chips.

Phil Laak Doubting Himself

Phil Laak still has yet to fill out the required media form that ESPN has had every player fill out. Laak did not want to jinx himself and claims, "I never make the final table, so I just won't fill that out and then maybe I'll make it." He's told two or three people from ESPN's media crew that he won't fill it out just yet.

Eli Elezra Eliminated in 19th Place ($26,470)

After Eli Elezra raised to 40,000 out of the big blind Mike Sowers made the call and they saw a {6-Diamonds}

flop. Elezra quickly bet 45,000 and Sowers raised enough to put Elezra all in. He made the call with {A-Hearts}

and was up against Sowers' {6-Hearts}

on the turn filled Sowers' inside straight draw and when the {3-Spades}

fell on the river Eli Elezra was out in 19th place and Mike Sowers' stack grew to 1.2 million.

Alexander Kostritsyn moved in the last of his chips and Andy Bloch called with A-Q, which led Kostritsyn's 9-7. The {Q-Spades}

flop hit both players but kept Bloch in the lead, and neither the {6-Clubs}

on the turn nor the {6-Hearts}

on the river was enough to save Kostritsyn. Bloch is now pushing the million mark with around 950,000.

Andreas Krause is Eliminated in 16th Place ($33,088)

When you're short stacked you just pray you'll be dealt a good hand, and no doubt Andreas Krause looked down at his {J-Diamonds}

and thought that, finally, he had the hand he needed to double up and get back in the game. He probably thought that right up to the point when Kathy Liebert called his all-in and showed {K-Diamonds}

. Krause didn't improve and was eliminated in 16th place.

Kings Pay Off Again for Kathy Liebert

Soon after eliminating Andreas Krause when her kings trumped his jacks, Kathy Liebert was no doubt happy to look down and see pocket kings again. She was happy right up to the point where her all-in raise was called by Mike Sowers and his pocket aces.
