Raptor's Revenge

In a previous hand Allen Kessler doubled up through David "Raptor" Benefield, but Benefield won the decisive battle between the two. After an A-4-2 flop, all the money went in the middle, and Kessler's {A-Spades}{J-Clubs} trailed Benefield's {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}. Benefield hit a king on the turn and that brought an end to Kessler's tournament. Benefield now has 255,000 before him.

Liebert Elimnates Zuzelo

Kathy Liebert
Kathy Liebert
The board read {K-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{K-Spades}{5-Diamonds} when Paul Zuzelo bet out 10,000 into the pot. Kathy Liebert raised to 20,000 and then Zuzelo went all in for 40,000 total. Liebert made the call holding {Q-Spades}{5-Clubs}. She was ahead of Zuzelo's {6-Spades}{5-Spades}.

The river blanked and Zuzelo has been eliminated. Liebert now sits at 152,000.

Lyle Berman Eliminates Bill Chen...And the Shark Misses a Meal

Humberto Brenes raised to 9,500 and in the small blind Bill Chen raised to 31,000. In the big blind Lyle Berman bumped it up to 80,000 and that got Brenes to thinking. He called the clock on himself and put his little toy shark to his ear, listening to whatever advice it had to give. Humberto finally clocked out and his hand was dead.

Now it was Chen's turn to think things over. He said something and in response Berman said, "If you have total crap, well, how can you call?" But in the end Chen did make the call, and found that his {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} trailed Berman's {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}. Humberto said he folded pocket Queens...which meant that he had to be sick when the flop came {Q-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn and the {7-Hearts} on the river brought Chen no help and Berman boosted his stack to 160,000. Brenes sits with 85,000 and, no doubt, some small regret.

Sexton Involved in Key Pots

Mike Sexton
Mike Sexton
Mike Sexton has been involved in a couple of key hands as of late.

In the first hand, after a button player raised to 8,100, Sexton reraised to 26,100 from the small blind. Jeremiah Vinsant looked at his hole cards and announced that he would raise pot, which meant he would be all in.

The button folded and action was back on Sexton, who flopped back in his chair and seemed very displeased by the all-in move. It was about 30,000 more for Sexton to call. Sexton tanked for a few minutes uneasily, and then finally made the fold with a disgusted smirk on his face.

In the very next hand, Sexton had the button and raised to 8,500. The small blind folded. Vivek Rajkumar in the big blind reraised pot by placing a stack of 10 orange 5,000-denomination chips in the middle. Once again, Sexton looked unhappy with the action, but this time made the call all in after only a few moments.

Sexton showed {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Rajkumar showed {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{K-Spades}, the turn came the {3-Clubs}, and the river the {Q-Clubs} allowing Sexton to double up to around 110,000 chips.
