Kostritsyn Extends Chip Lead

In a huge pot, Alexander Kostritsyn was the aggressor the whole way against Matt Hawrilenko.

Kostritsyn raised the bets of Hawrilenko on both 5th and 6th streets before getting another bet in on the river.

Hawrilenko was showed {2-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} but Kostritsyn turned over ({Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}) {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for a set of queens to take down the pot. Hawrilenko was left with about 50,000 chips.

A few hands later Kostritsyn eliminated Mickey Appleman from the event to extend his chip lead to a monstrous 425,000 chips.
