The Great Khalid

Not since Dallas climaxed have we seen such drama, a three-way dance on the far table sending the entire table into a frenzy.

With Khalid Hameed raising to 2,400 preflop, Justin St John pushing for 16,000 and Dale Philips also moving all in, this time for 21,000 total, the action was back on Hammed who had both men covered.

After a lengthy spell in the think tank, Khalid made the call.

Hameed = {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
St John = {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Phillips {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}

Searching for a miracle ace to eliminate both foes, the {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs} was of no aid, nor was the seemingly crucial {J-Diamonds} which propelled Phillips into an unlikely lead.

But the river changed it all, the {K-Diamonds} giving St John the set, but Hameed a gasp-inducing gutshot straight for what turned out to be a shock win and a juicy 58,000 pot.
