Ferguson Chips Up

We caught up to this hand after the draw. Chris Ferguson bet 5,000 and was called by Robert Mizrachi. Ferguson showed a 9-8, which was enough to take the pot. After the hand, his stack increased to 84,000. Mizrachi dipped to about 50,000.

Kicker Problems

Oh, those pesky kickers. Even in deuce-to-seven, they can be problematic. Mickey Appleman was all in before the draw and was called by Matt Glantz. Appleman stood pat; Glantz drew one. After the draw, Glantz showed a very rough ten: T-9-7-6-5. Appleman also had a rough ten, but it was just a little less rough than Glantz's: T-9-7-6-2. Appleman's deuce kicker played to allow him to take down the pot. Glantz was eliminated a few hands later.

Nick Schulman Picks Up a Nice Pot

Action folded to Nick Schulman and he raised to 1,800 from late position. The small blind player moved all in for 12,000 and Schulman made the call. The small blind drew one card and Schulman stood pat. The small blind showed the king. He drew and Schulman tabled {9-?} {6-?} {5-?} {4-?} {2-?} for the obvious winner.
